I've walked barefoot for 8+ years to avoid bunions

Wearing shoes isn't natural. The big toe is pushed inward toward the second toe. The constant pressure shifts the joint outwards and creates a bunion over time. Now that most of my friends are in their 30s, I see a lot of them getting bunions. I've walked barefoot for 8+ years now. People think I'm weird or something, but at least I have no pain or injury in my foot (despite working out intensely every day). I also realized that some of my foot muscles were extremely weak when I removed my shoes, because they weren't used naturally. I used to sprain my ankle all the time. Walking barefoot isn't fashionable, but it's an investment in your health.

I only wear shoes: - when I run long distances - in places where I just can't be barefoot (airports)
