I met Typefully's founders after they grew to $1.6M ARR

I met the founders of @typefully ($1.6M ARR SaaS) It all started 10 years ago, with a tweet... Fabrizio ( @linuz90 ) & Francesco ( @frankdilo ) found each other on Twitter. Sharing tech and design, no plans for a business. They're both Italians so they met IRL. It clicked and a few years later, they built their first SaaS—MailBrew. What surprised me was that both are tech guys. Yet, they grew MailBrew to $10K+ MRR because: 1. They built an incredible product that users love 2. Users do the marketing (word of mouth) During that journey, they built a tiny side project: A random tool to share and preview Twitter threads. Nothing flashy. No grand vision startup. Just solving their own problem. Then, boom. It went viral on Hacker News. A few days later, it reached $5,000 MRR. They sold their previous startup and went all in on that "little" project which is now Typefully, the Saas used by 150K creators to schedule content on X & LinkedIn. In 4 years, they grew a small team of fewer than 10 people and reached $1.6M ARR, fully bootstrapped. They didn't hire growth hackers or give equity to an influencer. They just ship features people request and build an incredible product. Here's what I learned: 1. Do what you're good at. If you're addicted to building features (like me), do that. Just make sure you have initial traction. 2. Talk to your users from day 0. 3. Start more side projects.
