I get culture shock from how Korean family calls work
I get a culture shock every time my Korean wife jumps off a call with her parents. 1 person speaks. Others listen. Then another person speaks. Others listen. In France, there are as many conversations as there are people around the table. Koreans have so much respect for the "group" they never cut or intervene (unless they drank too much soju). Sometimes I stare at them, silent, admiring what a conversation is supposed to be.
