Entrepreneurship is a real emotional rollercoaster. Maybe this is a boring tweet, but I wanted to share how I felt going from 0 to “Mum, I made it” to the fear of losing everything. CONTEXT: - 2017 > 2021: Building startups making $0 - 2021 > 2023: Building startups making $1k/month - 2023 > 2024: building startups making $1M/year and 250k followers 1. The first phase (2017 > 2021) was tough. I was impatient, entitled, and arrogant. I thought I was the next Mark Zuckerberg and expected the world to give me back way more than I had to offer. I burned out multiple times. And it wasn't pretty. I'd ditch my life (friends, startups) and start over somewhere else. I had a depression once. These times taught me patience and humility. 2. The second phase (2021 > 2023) was calm. After 4 years of nothingness, I lost hope I'd ever "make it". And that was a good thing. With 0 expectations, I couldn’t be disappointed. So when I discovered the community of developers building in public on Twitter (thanks @levelsio), I built apps for fun. I'd look at my work as art—a collection of tiny startups. I didn't care about the revenue, I cared about how many art pieces I'd add to my portfolio. This taught me to enjoy the process more than the outcome. 3. The third phase (2023 > 2024) was insane. In September 2023, one of my small bets (ShipFast) took off. So did my following. A year later, I made $1M and grew an audience of 250,000 people. It feels freaking amazing, especially after 6 years of nothingness. I also experienced new challenges: - I feel like an imposter when people ask me if they should quit their jobs - I feel stressed and insecure when people try to hack my apps - I feel I could lose everything if my "motivation" runs away It's new for me. A part of my brain is still in stray-dog mode. The recent episode taught me about security and responsibility. Chapter 3 is closed now, and a new one just opened. I'm doing a few more security checks and taking a week off to come back stronger. Thanks again for all your support messages. I'm beyond grateful.

I simplified a bit the 2017 > 2021 phase for the story: 2017 > 2018: the void 2018 > 2020: made a SaaS ($4K/month at best) 2020 > 2021: lost all because of COVID
